The Best Pares in Town

Image
I've seen a lot of discussion on which pares is the best and most of the time, Pares in Retiro and the one near Espana tops the list. Their Pares is good but nothing can compare to Enteng's Pares. He sells his pares from his Tricycle turned Mobile-Fastood. He can often be seen near Holy Cross Cemetery in Novaliches. The rich flavor of his beef stew and fried rice is really a must try for any Pares lover. One order of Pares with extra rice will cost you 60pesos. Sure it cost more than what you'll get from your average Carinderia but I swear, That will be the best meal your 60 pesos can ever get. My top 5 Pares place 1. Enteng's Pares 2. Cocoy's Pares 3. Jonas 4. Pares in Retiro 5. Pares near Espana

We're Brothers Forever : Renaldo Lapuz

I love watching the auditions at American Idol and this year, I think, I saw the guy that will de-throne William Hung. His name is Renaldo Lapuz. I did some search on yahoo answers and found out that he is a Filipino. You gotta love this guy...very funny, very entertaining and has a very warm personality. I hope we haven't seen that last of him. Now, can anyone tell me how to get his song out of my head. :P

Menace on 3 wheels

Image
Christmas, time for miracles, booze and accidents. I've witnessed a tricycle flipped on its back when it tried to cut off a jeep thats making a left turn. I quickly pulled my camera and was able to take some shots. By standers was quick to offer assistance. I think I heard someone say "sayang di pa namatay" at the back...or was it just in my head? oh well..good thing no one else was hurt. I guess its a miracle that the driver only suffered minor scratches with that kind of impact. Turns out he just came from a drinking session and is heading to another friend's house for another drinking session. Hey buddy...I think you had enough. That's going to hurt in the morning. lol

Scooter Ride from Manila to Matnog

Image
At last, I was finally able to ride to Matnog. The first time I was suppose to go there got postponed at the very last minute because my wife suffered a terrible tummy ache. It was very disappointing but I have to cancel...family always comes first. ...and so I waited.... 6 months later, I recieved an SMS from my ride buddy, Gino. He was asking if I'd like to join them on a long ride to Matnog. Without missing a heartbeat, I said "Yes!" More photos... We covered a total distance of 1,405 kms in 3 days. There were some minor incidents but nothing serious. The most scary part of the ride was when we were riding thru the mountain roads at midnight, it's raining, it's cold and there were some branches placed in the middle of the road. Our spearhead told us during the pre-ride briefing that in case we get caught in such a situation, we should never stop. Those who do gets ambushed or held up. Overall it was one hell of a ride. The food and company was great. More photo...

Election Season

Image
One thing I hate about the campaign season is the junk candidates posts everywhere. Some of them have photos on their banners that looks more like they are campaigning for Miss World, others just took the photos from thier friendster acount. Is this the kind of people we're going to vote, posting their garbage anywhere they want? What a wasteland!!!!

KYMCO People Plays Starring Role In ABC TV

Found this over at http://www.strmotorsports.com/ Hollywood, CA — To instantly convey that a major female character in its new crusading-lawyers drama is aware, independent, and practical-yet-daring, Disney/Touchstone producers took a visual shortcut — they put her on a KYMCO People 50 scooter. read more

Ride to Marilaque

Image
I toook my scooter out for a ride to marilaque last sunday. I couldn't find anyone to ride with so I went ahead...solo. I left the house at 1:30pm. Most of the jologs rider had gone home by this time. I saw a lot of "lot for sale" there and it got me thinking... hmmm.. I could live there. I had a fun ride, traffic was almost zero, nice blue sky weather and the cool crisp air gently carresing my cheeks was really refreshing.
